Studio531 maintains websites for a handful of clients and selectively takes on new projects with a focus on the latest standards and technologies to produce rich and engaging website experiences.

History

Studio531 was originally created by Charlie Rubel and intended to be an art portfolio website showcasing the artworks, designs and animations of various artists.  The original intent of the website was to make artwork accessible to the world via the world wide web. ( things have changed! ). But,  through the interest of and the fascination for the accessibility, Studio531 evolved into a website design company.

In the early part of 2006, the focus of Studio531 changed to smaller website projects and component integrations for existing websites with an emphasis on Flash animation content. Additionally, over the next 10 years, more and more time was spent on eCommerce development, digital marketing and design for outside clients.

In June 2017, the announcement from Adobe was made and Flash was finished. New standards for web designs and animations had already taken hold and proved to be more efficient and cross-platform friendly,  i.e. HTML5, JavaScript Frameworks, etc.. And, eCommerce platforms also started making huge leaps and bounds in affordability and SaaS offerings.

Today, Studio531 maintains websites for a handful of clients and selectively takes on new projects with a focus on the latest standards and technologies to produce rich and engaging web experiences. Experiences not only for the user, but the client as well.
